Aunt Lois Rolls

This recipe originated from cousin Nora Bell Comer’s family. However, Aunt Lois made these rolls a favorite part of every holiday meal and family gathering. This is our bread machine version.

6 tablespoons butter
1/2 cup sugar
1 1/2 teaspoon salt
3/8 cup powdered milk
2 eggs
1 1/2 cup warm water
5 teaspoons bread machine yeast
4 cups of bread flour

Preheat oven to 350° F. Put all ingredients in a bread machine on the quick dough setting. When the dough is ready, knead in extra flour as needed to make a soft dough.

Make into balls about 2 inches round, filling two 9x9 pans.  The balls can touch.  Let rise for at least 30 minutes.

Bake until done, usually about 15 – 20  minutes.
