Dutch Oven Brisket

1 beef brisket
2-3 large onions
2 cups beef broth
garlic salt

Preheat oven to 350° F. Trim the fat on the brisket to 1/4 inch. Generously salt the brisket on all sides. cut the onion into quarters and place on the bottom of the dutch oven. Add the beef broth. Place the brisket on top of the onions, so it is not touching to bottom on the dutch oven.

Place brisket on the oven, uncovered for 1 hour. The baste the brisket, cover and drop the oven temperature to 275° F. Cook until done for an additional 3-4 hours depending on the size of the brisket, basting the brisket every thirty minutes.

Serve with the onions on top.
