Nana’s Broccoli and Cauliflower Salad

A most requested salad, Julia Ann Hitchcock Strickler has made this for family gatherings for decades.

Large head Broccoli
Large Head Cauliflower
2/3 cup green onions, chopped
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
6 strips of crisp, crumbled bacon
1 cup chopped pecans or walnuts
1 cup seedless grapes, halved or raisins

1/4 cup sugar
1 cup avocado mayonnaise
2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar

In a small bowl, mix the sugar, mayonnaise, and vinegar.

Cut the broccoli and cauliflower into bite-sized pieces. In a large salad bowl, mix the broccoli, cauliflower, onions, cheese, bacon, nuts, and grapes or raisins. Stir in the sugar, mayonnaise and vinegar. Chill before serving.
